In the early hours of Thursday morning, a fire broke out at the corner of Albert and Delvers Street in the Johannesburg CBD.

The death toll is currently at 63 whilst 43 other people were treated at the scene for injuries before being transported to various local healthcare facilities for further medical attention.

At this stage, the cause of the fire is still unknown.
City of Johannesburg Disaster Management officials have begun facilitating relief for the affected families.
