VOX POP: Learners share their thoughts on house productions

Parents filled the Kings School Robin Hills hall to show support for the productions that were written, directed, and performed by the learners

A student-written and directed inter-house play was performed at The Kings School Robin Hills. Students from both high school and primary school participated in the plays. Three households, Judah, Israel, and Zion, updated classic fairy tales to keep audience members amused.

Randburg Sun asked some of the actors how hard the preparations were and how they feel about the performances.

This is what they had to say…

Victoria Franzon: The plays definitely took us out of our comfort zones, but that made it much better, drawing everyone in and using different talents to make it better. We all pulled it through at the end and we had so much fun; it was a good night.

Adelaide de Lange: The plays were awesome. We are a small school and I think we did an amazing job. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

Benjamin Suremann: It was very stressful preparing for the plays and I think we did not have much time but overall it went very well and the crowd was super happy.

Michaella Nxumalo: The plays are not easy to prepare for but I feel we all as individuals worked really hard for them to be a success. We practised daily and the plays were amazing.

Casey Lawther: We executed our plays really well, and the behind-the-scenes teams worked hard. We were able to bond with one another as teams and I am super proud.
