Ward councillors and opposition parties have urged residents to write in if they have inputs for the IDP and budget, or objections to the increases in tariffs, which include a proposed 18.64% increase in electricity, 9.3% in water, 9.3% in sewer/sanitation, 7% in refuse and 5.3% in rates.

The discount of R350 000 off the residential property value has been reduced to R300 000, and pensioner rebates have changed.
