From a qualified interior designer to one of Randburg’s widely known TikTok entrepreneurs, Que Dlamini (25), mentors the public on how to be their own Airbnb host without purchasing a property.

Dlamini is an adventurous, liberal, and social-minded entrepreneur, who has sparked the attention of many socially inquisitive minds.

Following a comment from her friends about her apartment, she turned their words into a free trade. “I moved into my apartment in Randburg, it was really nice. Once I started furnishing it, I had friends over, they would comment on how it felt almost like a hotel and that’s when the idea sparked. So, I started with my first Airbnb and the one that I’m living in now, then I got others, and it took off from there”, said Dlamini.

From her influence on TikTok, Dlamini has taken note of how intrigued people were with her one-woman business. “People want to be able to do this by themselves, so I decided to let me just teach people,” said Dlamini. From her first class having 10 attendees to the most recent reaching a record of 100 attendees, this growth supports her reason for wanting to help people.

Her desire to help people is carried through her many talents. She said she had a fashion company that would help people start their brand as well as manufacture for them, but someday, she hopes to own a big CMT (Cut, Make, Trim) factory to actualize her aspiration.

When Dlamini is not out overextending herself to the public, she spends her time going out on solo dates to different restaurants that have a “pretty aesthetic” and allow her to “just escape” reality.

In closing, she advises people to shoot their shot. “Shoot you’re shot at life, the worst you can get is a NO but what if you get a YES?”
