The repair process is underway at Beyers Naude substation affecting Kelland and Randburg Ridge due to a cable fault.
The power utility is investigating the cause of the outage affecting Linden, Windsor, Cresta, Darrenwood, Robindale and Robin Hills.
There is no estimated time of restoration at this point.
