The Women on the Power Table High Tea event, hosted by LadyLu Designs, was an inspiring gathering aimed at celebrating women from various fields of influence. The event provided a platform for women to share their journeys, network, and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. Held in an elegant setting, the high tea was filled with enriching discussions, insightful speeches, and delightful refreshments.

The programme for the day began with a warm welcome from the host, setting a positive and inviting tone for the day. The event then moved into an opening prayer accompanied by a musical piece, creating a reflective and spiritual atmosphere.

The Master of Ceremonies (MC), Makgofe Moagi, led the proceedings with energy and grace, engaging the audience with a refreshing icebreaker activity. Following this, various speakers shared their knowledge and experiences.

Siba Njoba, representing Imvelo Wealth, took the stage to discuss wealth management and the importance of financial empowerment for women. Lerato Mokgethi, from SM Psychology, followed with an engaging talk about mental health, emphasising the need for awareness and support.

Maggie Motsepe, of Maggs Salon, Spa & Beauty Academy, spoke next, inspiring attendees with her journey in the beauty industry. Her speech encouraged women to embrace self-care and professional growth.

A keynote speech was delivered by Dr Edward Ngwenya, a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon, who spoke about the advancements in his field and how his work empowers people to feel confident in their appearance.

Lunch provided a perfect opportunity for guests to network and build connections with others in the room. The day then ended with a lucky draw, prize giving, and a vote of thanks from the host, Lusama Mabudafhasi from LadyLu Designs.
