WCSS held a successful women’s celebration event to cap off Women’s Month
WCSS community liaison manager Mathabo Bekimbia-Tchoffo explained that the event was a success, and they received positive feedback.
Windsor Community Support Services (WCSS) bid farewell to Women’s Month in style with another successful celebration, at Windsor East Recreation Centre.
The purpose of the event was to honour women of the Windsor Community, incorporating a diverse group of young women and senior citizens.

Cresta Shopping management donated checkers vouchers to attendees, demonstrating corporate social responsibility and fostering a sense of community support.
Cresta management, Spar Blackheath, Pam Goldings Northcliff, Stockland property management, Taulo security, Foschini Cresta, AFHCO, Upmystreet, and Dorothy Myburgh were among the other stakeholders who also supported the event by donating funds and food platters.
WCSS community liaison manager Mathabo Bekimbia-Tchoffo explained that the celebration was a great success as they achieved their goals of celebrating and empowering women.

“The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Most women want to get involved giving back to the community by making a positive impact donating their time and skills, but they did not know how and who to contact. We had 44 attendees; the event was well received. They expressed appreciation for the engaging presentation, meaningful discussions, and the overall positive atmosphere.”
She added that celebrating women is important to WCSS because it aligns with their commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women.
“It provides a platform to recognize and celebrate women’s achievements, address ongoing challenges, and foster a supportive community.”
There were various guest speakers that motivated and empowered the women. They covered topics on wellness and beauty, fashion, property, and charity drives supporting women’s causes.
Bekimbia-Tchoffo thanked the stakeholders and participants for their invaluable support in making the celebration a success.
“Your engagement and contributions were crucial in fostering a meaningful dialogue and advancing our shared goals to empower women. We truly appreciate your dedication and look forward to continued collaboration in our efforts to make a positive impact.”
