Zandspruit day care gets much-needed donations

Randpark Ridge based Tutor the Future Primary School donated sandwiches and lunch packs on Mandela Day.

Tutor the Future Primary School (TTF) in Randpark Ridge, spent their 67 Minutes for Mandela Day making sandwiches and lunch packs for Emihle Day Care Centre, a non-profit organisation in Zandspruit.

Each grade donated various items for the lunch packs and the learners assembled them together. Nicole Stewart explained that the enthusiasm and excitement from the learners was wonderful to see, and they are very proud of them for this wonderful initiative.

“Watching the TTF learners enjoying their lunch every day, we realised how privileged we are and that is when we decided to make lunch packs for the less privileged.
“The day was a huge success. It means a great deal to our small school to be able to support the wider community.”

She added that Emihle Day Care Centre was overwhelmed by the generosity of their donation.
