It was a joyous day as Spark Cresta celebrated a decade since the school was established.
The school was founded 10 years ago and is the second school in the Spark network. Spark Schools were born with a mission to provide access to high-quality, affordable, and globally competitive education.

In celebration of its 10th birthday, Spark Cresta had some exciting activities planned to coincide with the school’s Open Day, including a performance by the choir, a variety of stations where parents and learners could learn more about the school’s unique blended learning model and a picnic coupled with other performances.
The aim of the day was to showcase that Spark Schools not only put education first but also instil values that create global citizens.

Nomcebo Ngema, assistant principal, explained that the anniversary event was a testament to the school’s core values and well known #CollaborativeExcellence.
“It was a vibrant day filled with joy, reflection, and forward-looking optimism.”
The celebration saw the entire Spark Cresta community come together in a display of unity and pride. Families enjoyed a day of fun activities, performances and shared memories.
The event featured impressive performances by the staff and learners, showcasing their talents beyond the classroom. Extracurricular activities added to the festive atmosphere, making it a memorable day for all attendees.
“Spark Cresta’s journey over the past 10 years has been marked by significant achievements in academics and parent engagement and scholars who embody the school’s core values. It was truly a big moment to witness a community coming together in celebration of a shared vision and commitment to educational excellence.”
She added that the school continues to look towards the future with optimism, ready to build on its legacy and achieve even greater heights in the years to come.
