Warm hearts and warmer winters at Bryanston Country Club

The Ladies Golf section at Bryanston Country Club showcased their generosity through a blanket drive aimed at supporting local disadvantaged.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and generosity, the Ladies Golf section at The Bryanston Country Club hosted a highly successful blanket drive, providing much-needed warmth and comfort to those in need this winter season.

The blanket drive, held on June 5, brought together ladies of the golf club in a collective effort to support vulnerable families and individuals facing the harsh winter months.

The initiative was met with an overwhelming response, with dozens of blankets collected and donated to various local hospices.

The captain of the ladies’ golf section, Louise Malan, who started this initiative, said, “This blanket drive is a testament to the incredible generosity and compassion of our members.”

Malan said that they are deeply grateful for everyone who contributed and made a real difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Helen Cassidy-Harris, a homecare sister at Hospice Wits, added that the blankets collected will be distributed to several individuals and charities.
