Randpark Primary hosts fundraising carnival

Parent, Tina Parag said the carnival was everything they imagined creating and more.

Randpark Primary School hosted its fourth annual fundraising carnival on June 8, drawing a large crowd of excited learners, parents and staff.

Parents, children and staff all dress up to contribute to the carnival theme.

The event featured a variety of activities aimed at raising funds to improve the school’s infrastructure, while also providing a day of fun and entertainment for the school community.

School principal Nic Pienaar praised the turnout and the efforts of everyone involved. “We all gathered at Randpark for a cause. This is about our fourth carnival and we have received a lot of support from parents. The children looked wonderful, and the teachers went all out to dress the children and to follow the various themes. Each grade has its theme.”

The carnival included a range of attractions such as inflatable rides, a magic show, music, stalls, races and themed parades. “We’re hoping to raise a bit of money and to improve the infrastructure of the school. We’ve got a lot of things planned and developments we are working on,” Pienaar added, highlighting the event’s dual purpose of fundraising and community engagement.

Inflatables filled the school field.

Parents played a big role in the success of the carnival, both in terms of participation and organisation. Pienaar expressed his gratitude to all those involved. “Sincere thanks to all our sponsors and to all the parents who arrived to support the school through the carnival. We all worked together in the name of education and fun.”

The juggler was a hit with the children.

Parent Tina Parag shared her excitement about the event, saying, “The carnival was everything we worked towards creating and more. The kids enjoyed their dress-up and parades. The inflatables and magic show were a big hit, and the children just had a blast.”
