St Stithians College Grade 2 learners and their families enjoyed a traditional evening of barn dancing.
Among the bales of hay and cacti, Saints families wearing cowboy hats and boots enjoyed a night of linking arms, heel toes, turns and claps.
This is an annual event that is looked forward to by parents and learners alike and is a big highlight on the Grade 2 calendar for #OneAndAll.
Communications manager Annie Fyfe-Hitchings explained that the traditional barn dance was any kind of dance involving traditional or folk music.
“The types of dancing include square dancing, old style, line, round and swing, and are simple enough for all, young and old. The purpose of the annual event is to gather our Saints family together for an evening of fun, catching up, dancing and community.
“Parents thoroughly enjoyed the event, and our young students relished the opportunity to dress up for the occasion, learn a new type of dance and have fun with their friends and family.”
