On April 13, alumni learners, past parents, and past staff gathered for the King’s School Robin Hills 40th birthday celebration.
Current learners welcomed the guests and kept them entertained with different performances including dance and choral music. The institution had it first day of school on January 17, 1984.
Mike Marais CEO of the school explained that the school was not called King’s School at that time and they had no buildings like they have now.
“It was not here on this property, as this area at that time was just an open field. On that very first day, only a handful of cars arrived outside a house dropping off a group of young kids. But it was more than just a house it was a family home with a mother, father and children living there. It was a home of pastors Ron and Ann Robinson.”
They had started a church in their home and believed that God wanted them to start a Christian School.
40 years later the school has grown to have an aftercare, pre-primary, primary and high school.
