Bright beginnings at Nova Pioneer

Grade 1s spent their first day getting to know the school and each other

Crisp uniforms and wide smiles – this is what Nova Pioneer Northriding looked like on January 17 when it welcomed its Grade 1 class. The campus buzzed with positive energy, promising a memorable start to their academic journey.

Grade 1 yellow teacher, Razaan Seedat expressed enthusiasm for the year ahead saying that the learners were well prepared for the day. “The Grade 1s had an orientation where they were familiarised with their play area, the bathrooms, and the building.”

Smiles and excitement fill the classroom and set the stage for a year of learning.

She explained that most parents were concerned over how their child would adapt to being in a ‘big school’ but added that she saw no need for concern.

Seedat said that the first day was a ‘chill day’ and the Grade 1s were mostly introducing themselves to their class to make it more comfortable.

Razaan Seedat’s Grade 1 yellow class could not contain their excitement.

Her hope for the Grade 1s is for them to build a strong foundation as well as grow academically, emotionally, and socially.
