Bank Road Residents Association hosts a mass vaccination drive

During a mass vaccination drive, Bank Road residents in Bromhof were educated about pet care and provided with an opportunity to vaccinate and treat their pets.

The Bank Road Residents Association (BRRA) collaborated with The Dog Trust, a non-profit organisation (NPO), to hold a mass vaccination drive.

The goal of the initiative was to educate pet owners on how to properly care for their pets, including how to keep them healthy, vaccinate them, and treat them.

“It‘s imperative to vaccinate your dogs annually against rabies, canine distemper, parvovirus, kennel cough and parainfluenza. So I connected with Lee Anne, the founder of The Dog Trust, and through her we have arranged a mass vaccination drive for 60 dogs and seven cats.”

She added residents paid a reduced rate for the vaccinations, which is why they have managed to get a good turnout. “It‘s now affordable to vaccinate our dogs and cats. The Dog Trust vet Lee Anne Levey also provided a nail-clipping, micro-chipping and deworming service.”

They made house calls to residents’ homes where pets could not socialise with other dogs.
