Local dancers represent SA in Poland
Dance Culture Studios, located in Sundowner, has had a successful year, winning most of the competitions they entered and having dancers selected to compete internationally on behalf of South Africa.
Under the guidance of its renowned owner Quintus Jansen and head hip-hop coach Adriana de Oliveira, Dance Culture Studios, situated in Sundowner, has seen a year of success and atonement.
They have achieved remarkable success in recent dance leagues and competitions. The studio has expanded its repertoire to include street dance and hip-hop and this diversification has allowed them to showcase their versatility and creativity on various platforms.
After a disappointing performance in the 2022 series of events for the Dance Sport Club League, they made a remarkable comeback in 2023.
Participating in multiple hip-hop fixtures against dance studios across the province, they emerged victorious, securing the top position. As a result, several dancers from the studio earned the prestigious opportunity to represent the province at the Street Dance Association National Championships.
They also recently competed in the South African Body of Dance regional events, achieving exceptional scores and solidifying their reputation as a powerhouse in the dance community. Their accomplishments also earned them the privilege to compete in the Provincial Championships where many of their dancers excelled. This secured them the opportunity to represent South Africa in the upcoming World Championships in Poland.
Jansen expressed his pride in the dancers. “Their commitment, dedication, trust in their coaches, and countless hours of practice have led to these exceptional results. Donations are warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated to show support to our dancers on their journey to the World Championships.”
