Parents show their culinary skills at Randburg Clinic School cookout

The heritage of diversity of Randburg Clinic School is celebrated at parent cookout.

Parents had a blast putting their culinary skills to the test at Randburg Clinic School’s parent cookout. Some learners also helped the teachers by making ice-cream waffles, and iced-coffee.

The cookout on September 21, was a celebration of Heritage Day, and marked the diversity at the school, said head of department Zaheera Ismail.

“It was good to get the parents involved and out at the school,” she said. “It was a great opportunity to meet together and have some fun while enjoying very good food.”

Some parents took the cooking more seriously than others and for this they were awarded with prizes for the best food. But in the end everyone had fun connecting and cooking together, and no one left hungry.
