Molefi Lebone says we need to encourage social cohesion and togetherness

Resident believes South Africa is facing many issues but we can make a difference.

Molefi Lebone writes:

I have two children and I think an event like the Parktown Centenary Family Fun Day is a reminder that there is good in a lot of people and when we work together, when we have the best outlook for each other really wonderful things happen.

We can see our children, who are from different backgrounds, playing together and the future really looks bright. We ensure that we instil the right messages, the right rules to our children that we will see things will get better.

We know the country is facing a lot of issues, a lot of problems. But I think for me an event like this is a reminder that there is more good in us than there is bad. The people out there, you know, they don’t have good intentions for others, or the country.

I would encourage people to get involved in their community and events, wherever they can. Whether in your school or your community ensure wherever you are you can make a difference, it would help. We cannot leave it to the politicians. It is up to us to do it.
