Dogs and cats are microchipped and vaccinated in Randpark Ridge

A whopping 111 pets were vaccinated at Hymany Park during the latest Pet Connect event.

Another microchip and vaccination day saw hundreds of dogs and cats descend on Hymany Park.

Community members led, carried and in some cases, dragged, their furry friends to the Pet Connect event in Randpark Ridge on May 27. There, they made new paw mates as professionals saw to their grooming, de-worming, microchipping and vaccinations.

Several aromatherapy products and other pet accessories were also on sale. In total, 111 animals were vaccinated, 34 were dewormed, 34 were microchipped and 25 had their nails clipped

“The day was fantastic, we had lots of good feedback,” said Pet Connect founder, Vanessa Fitzpatrick. “We also had lots of interest shown on Facebook, which was great to see.”

The next microchip and vaccination day will be held at Hymany Park on August 26, with the one afterwards set for late November.
