The King’s School Robins Hills hosted an annual sports festival in preparation for the winter season league games and tournaments. The King’s School West Rand, Greenside High School and Deutsche International Schule were invited for netball, while The King’s School Linbro Park, Curro Wilgeheuwel and Alma Mater International School took part in the soccer games.

Randburg Sun asked The King’s School Robin Hills soccer and netball players how the festival was and how they felt about their teams’ performances.

This what they had to say…..

Rendani Masithulela: We played beautiful football. The first two games were a bit rough for me. I was still trying to get my head around everything but in the last game, I was able to express myself and show people what I am capable of.
Mikhael Mahlangu: I play for the first team soccer and today was enjoyable. The boys fought hard even though the results were not what we wanted. I’m really proud of our team. The other teams did not make it easy, they played well.
Erynne Poole :It was a good day and we played very well and we won all the games that we played. It was very tough but we worked hard and well as a team.
Jami Gous: I play netball for the open team. The festival was a very eventful day. It was boiling hot but everyone played with high spirits and it was enjoyable
Ethan Dodd: It was a wonderful day, very hot and a lot of competition with good football. We did not perform as well as we could have, but it is a great start for the season.
