15 learners injured after truck ploughs into school classroom

All injured learners were transported by Emer-G-Med to the nearest hospital for further care.

Emer-G-med responded to a school in Cosmo City after a truck careened off the roadway ploughing into a classroom full of learners on January 18 at around 11:00.

“Fifteen learners aged between the ages of 14 and 18 years suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were treated and stabilised on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care,” said Emer-G-Med national spokesperson  Kyle van Reenen.

All relevant authorities were on the scene.
