Trip down memory lane as Radley Principal reflects on a challenging 2022

With covid19 in the previous year Radley Private School principal shares how challenging 2022 was and wishes learners the best in 2023

Radley Private school principal Charne De Gouveia reflects on the whirlwind of a year that was 2022. Its challenges and wishes success to new and returning learners.

She said that, 2022 brought many challenges to everybody around the globe. No one that I know of started the 2022 year on a full tank- most of us dragged ourselves into the year.

“2022 was the fastest whirlwind of a year that we could have ever come across. This year has been of more stressful and had more pressure to play catch-up with everything that fell behind in the 2020 and 2021 years. We are all in need of some care,” said Gouveia.

Principal Gouveia told Randburg Sun that 2022 saw lots more emotional challenges as everyone, step-by-step, got through the year.

“I think that 2022’s biggest challenge was the emotional challenges that everyone faced, and we haven’t exactly all overcome it, but we are in the process of overcoming all that the previous two years landed us in. We stuck together, spoke to one another, checked in with one another, and all just walked each other through this year,” added Gouveia

Principal Gouveia wishes all the new and returning Radley learners well.

“I hope that the year ahead brings success and growth in both your school and entrepreneurial journey. Last year, to a degree, we were still playing catch-up after the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2023, we look firmly towards the future and the possibilities it brings,” Gouveia told Randburg Sun.
