North Riding and Sharonlea schools host Christmas Carols event

Nearly 400 parents sing and dance along to carols as their youngsters perform on stage

North Riding College hosted its Christmas Carols event recently where each group and grade from pre-primary and up rehearsed a carol and performed it for their parents.

Youngsters from the three schools perform to their parents’ enjoyment.

There was a combination of dancing, singing and poems, and it was magical, said the school’s marketer Christine van Zyl.

“It’s one of the few events where all our schools come together – Northriding College, Northriding Pre-primary and Sharonlea Childcare and Pre-primary,” she said.

Nearly 400 parents watch their children sing carols.

“The almost 400 parents who attended were also in full Christmas spirit, belting out the words and dancing. It was the perfect way to end off the year and wish our families a Merry Christmas.”
