“Some of the highlights will be the various successes in terms of arrests for serious crimes that have been committed in Linden. Across categories for serious crimes, we’ve managed to make arrests and suspects are still in the court process.”

He said that they have significantly improved with regard to their services to the community. “That forms a highlight for me because it reinforces the purpose of effective policing.”

The colonel wished the community a good festive season and warned them to be responsible. “It is the festive season, and it can also become the silly season. They should guard against drink and driving, being negligent and careless with their property at the malls and homes. We would like the community to have a very blessed festive season and rest assured that there will be police to keep them safe.”

He also encouraged the community to meet them halfway with regards to responsibility by ensuring that cars, house doors, and gates are left locked. “It is that season for everybody to rest and spend time with their families. Celebrate the year and know that the police are here to serve and protect.”
