Curro Meridian Cosmo City to benefit from major partnership with Pitso Mosimane Soccer School

Curro Holdings announce partnership with Pitso Mosimane Soccer School to help young African players to succeed in the world of professional football.

Curro Meridian Cosmo City in Roodepoort is one of the schools chosen to participate in a new initiative as Curro Holdings joined forces with football coach, Pitso Mosimane in the quest to create the player of tomorrow.

From January 2023, budding football stars at Curro Meridian Cosmo City will acquire invaluable knowledge and perfect their skills, and discipline, as part of the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools (PMSS) programme.

Business Executive for Meridian Schools at Curro Holdings, Fergus Sampson said “At Curro, we are always striving to complement our world-class academic curriculum with a diverse range of sports, culture and other extracurricular activities of an equally high standard. Working with PMSS will add immeasurable value to our offering, giving our learners the unique opportunity of learning from coach Pitso Mosimane.”

The school will serve as a pilot site, with the programme expected to be scaled to other Curro schools across the country in due course.

“We believe that a sport like football teaches learners essential skills such as coordination, planning, execution and teamwork. We are especially honoured to have PMSS join us,” said Sampson.

The programme is aimed to guide young African players between the ages of 6 and 18 to become technically, intellectually, and socially equipped to succeed in the competitive world of professional football.
