The Linden Police Station parking lot was buzzing with traditional music as the officers danced to a tune that reminded them of their cultural background on September 29 in honour of Heritage Day which is celebrated on September 24.
The significance of this remarkable day was that the officers stung the air with the salivating smell of the cultural dishes that they prepared at the Linden Police Station’s parking lot.
The officers made the most of the day as they embraced their cultural diversity through their various traditional attires.
Cranking up this historical day AmaXhosa and AmaZulu groups showed off their traditional dance moves. They were then followed by BaPedi, the Afrikaans, Tshivenda, VaTsonga, and the Indians.
