HINAL AARYA GOVENDER: Heritage Day to me is a day where you embrace your heritage and culture. We should be kind to all cultures. We need to express our emotions about our culture.
Heritage Day which is celebrated on September 24 honours South Africa’s cultural wealth. This day acknowledges the cultural heritage of South Africa’s many cultures that make up our population.
As we celebrate this day, we have to take note of South Africa’s younger generation and ensure that as they celebrate this day with us, they understand the country’s historic moments. The country’s youth play an important role in shaping our country’s future.
