Cooper College learner receives prestigious award

Local learner scored the highest mark in Cambridge exam that was featured around the world.

A learner of Cooper College received a prestigious award to acknowledge her outstanding performance in the November 2022 Cambridge examination series.

The North Riding school celebrated Ameera Sulaiman who earned top place in the subject, global perspectives, in an exam that was featured around the world.

“Our motto this year is ‘educating global leaders and I am delighted to see Ameera‘s amazing self-discipline and hard work be rewarded with this outstanding achievement,” said operational head of the high school, Karel Rabe, in light of the award from Cambridge Assessment International Education.

“This award is a testament to what happens when great educators develop a learner’s potential into performance. Congratulations to the entire Cooper College educational community.”

The executive head of Cooper College Hesna Muller said Ameera had always exhibited the greatest diligence, resilience and self-discipline.

“Not only on an academic level but in all projects she embarks on,” Muller said.

“Our educators have been exceptional in preparing the learners for the international examinations and their hard work produced excellent results. As we emerge from a pandemic that made learning more challenging, Ameera proved, above all else, that global leaders are dedicated to their goals in all situations.”
