Honeydew Police Station arrested 23 suspects in five days, recently, and this mostly for violent crimes.
Spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said this took place from 06:00 on Monday, May 23 to 06:00 on Friday, May 27.
“The suspects were arrested in all areas policed by Honeydew police,” he said.
“They have been arrested for the following reasons: assault GBH [with intent to cause grievous bodily harm], malicious damage to property and theft, theft common, assault common, statutory rape, robbery, shoplifting.”
He said these suspects would appear in Randburg and Roodepoort magistrates’ courts soon.
