Stadio to host Comic Con Africa Sew-A-Thon

Stadio invites you to their first-ever local fashion competition.

Stadio School of Fashion, based in Blairgowrie, is excited to host the first-ever Comic Con Africa Sew-A-Thon competition, leading up to International Sewing Day on June 13. This event promises fun and nail-biting rivalry.

Everyone is welcome to attend the competition or watch the live broadcast on YouTube.

While they wait for the festival in September, Stadio invites their fans who enjoy making costumes and cosplays to join them for a sew-a-thon to flex those sewing muscles and compete for prizes with Brother and Stadio School of Fashion.

This challenge will put local sewers, fashion designers and costume makers of all levels to the test as they race to complete their partially-prepared superhero costume pieces in just eight hours.

To be eligible for a prize, contestants must use at least 90% of the materials provided, which are in the Comic Con colours of black, blue, red, yellow, and orange. Each contestant will be scored by five esteemed fashion industry judges, including Stadio’s Patrick Brill and Terese Potgieter.

The event will be held at the Stadio School of Fashion, Randburg campus, from 09:00 to 18:00 on June 11.
