Trader stalls to come to Randburg CBD

The Johannesburg Development Agency hopes to have this done by October next year.

New trader stalls are planned to be built in the Randburg CBD, along with lockers for traders to put their valuables in during the day.

This by October next year, thanks to the Randburg CBD Public Environment Upgrade Project.

Johannesburg Development Agency plans for the stalls to be 6m long, 3m wide and 3m high.

They will be made of 20cm x 10cm channels to create a steel frame.

The roof sheeting is 10mm multiwall, translucent roof sheeting fixed within the steel frame structure.

The structure will have powder-coated aluminium square hollow-section slats to screen the rear and ceiling.

Powder-coated aluminium LED lights will be fitted between the slats.

The floor finish is to be pigmented concrete cast in situ-decorative concrete plinth.

The table and the bench are precast concrete furniture.

The table will be 80cm wide, 160cm long and 80cm high, with a thickness of 10cm.

The bench is 50cm wide, 16cm long and 50cm high with a thickness also of 10cm.
