Families enjoy a picnic at school

SUNDOWNER – Grade R learners show their parents their school and experience a fun family picnic.

The first-ever Grade R family picnic proved a hit at Curro Castle Aurora.

There was great energy in the air as parents entered the campus where their children have the opportunity to learn and explore all day.

Within minutes the atmosphere was electric as parents started chatting, meeting their children’s friends, and socialising with the Grade R teaching team and teacher assistants.

There was also music and fun general knowledge quiz games.

The picnic at the school was a new experience as with the pandemic, access to the school has been limited.

For two years parents had to say goodbye to their children at the gate as they adhered to social distancing guidelines.
