DA mayoral candidate visits Cosmo City

COSMO CITY – DA mayoral candidate tells Cosmo City she is on their side.


The DA’s mayoral candidate for Joburg, Dr Mpho Phalatse, made a public appearance at a constituency event in Cosmo City.

She addressed supporters and residents next to South Africa Drive, a major thoroughfare leading into the township.

Her message was that the DA is the only party that has initiated change in the area, and people would be wise to vote for it come the local elections on November 1.

She also engaged in one-on-one discussions with residents who had questions, before her speech.

There was some singing and dancing before Phalatse took up the microphone, and a jovial spirit reigned.

Constituency chairperson for Joburg north-west Pat McGee even joked that the windy weather was a sign of the winds of change.

Also in attendance were two members of parliament: Bridget Masango and Siviwe Gwarube, as well the DA’s Joburg caucus leader and Ward 134 councillor, Wendy Alexander, and Ward 101 councillor, Dalu Cele.

Cele said residents in Cosmo City and the rest of his ward had serious issues, especially regarding service delivery, and it was good for the mayoral candidate to listen to their complaints.
