FBI’s top chefs celebrated

JOHANNESBURG NORTH – The Chef & Patisserie Academy held its graduation ceremony recently and it was a top tier event.


FBI Chef School & Patisserie Academy recently celebrated its 2020 graduation awards where they highlighted the success of some of their top young chefs.

This year’s event took place on the school’s premises. Its principal, Nicolas van der Walt, said this yearly event is to acknowledge the achievements of the graduates and it is one of their most special days.

He explained this year, because of Covid-19 restrictions, it was their most challenging event to pull off as parents couldn’t share the moments with them, “But we had a live stream so the parents were online watching the event.”

There is another branch of the school in Bloemfontein, and in the last 17 years, between the schools, they have qualified 1 800 chefs.

The achiever awards were as follows:

Renier Hattingh received this award as he performed quality work on the practical side throughout the year.
