Randburg Police help learners in need

FERNDALE – The Randburg Police, in conjunction with Ferndale SPAR and Amazing Grace Ladies, helped to donate 17 pairs of school shoes and sanitary towels to the learners of Hill Crest Christian Academy in Ferndale.

The Randburg police recently embarked on a back-to-school campaign to help the learners of schools in their policing precinct.

Several Randburg police officers were joined by sector manager Captain Hein van Heerden and social crime prevention coordinator Sergeant Diphuo Maphanga to donate 17 pairs of school shoes and sanitary towels to the learners of Hill Crest Christian Academy in Ferndale in conjunction with Ferndale SPAR and Amazing Grace Ladies.

“The school was identified by our social crime coordinator and through police and community partnership. Our officers felt it necessary to come to the aid of the youngsters, and they were so delighted and happy to receive the gifts during this difficult time,” Randburg Police Station spokesperson Captain Makwanyana Maja.
