Suspect arrested after allegedly stabbing ‘friend’ to death

RANDBURG – A suspect has been arrested after the alleged murder of a man in Bordeaux.


A suspect has been arrested in the case of the alleged murder of a man in Bordeaux last year.

Randburg police spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja said that police were called to the scene between Noreen and June Avenue in the early hours of  7 November 2020.

“On their arrival, they found a man lying in a pool of blood. Upon preliminary investigations and interviews, members were informed that the victim was allegedly stabbed several times on his upper body by his alleged friend,” said Maja.
Officers called an ambulance for assistance, and upon their arrival, they certified the victim dead.

After an intense police investigation, the suspect was traced to a home where he was hiding out in Alexandra and was subsequently arrested.

The suspect will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon to face charges of murder.
“We are appealing to the community to work with the police by providing information on wanted suspects and suspicious activities on Crime Stop 08600 10111 or MySaps app. Information can be provided anonymously,” concluded Maja.
