Get to know this year’s Trinityhouse College Head Girl

RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse College Randpark Ridge has a new Head Girl- Priscilla Muhande.

Meet Trinityhouse College Randpark Ridge’s new head girl Priscilla Muhande.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most during your term as leader?

A: I’m looking forward to connecting deeper with my fellow classmates, being in this position of leadership is a reminder and a representation of our bond. The trust instilled in me is rooted in being a voice that represents a collective, I am looking forward to listening and brainstorming with my peers. I believe that by connecting deeper, I can bring collective new ideas, desired change and growth to the forefront of our school committee.

Q: What are your strengths and weaknesses?

A: I am an open and warm communicator, thoughtful, organised and challenge myself to find inner motivation. I often find myself dwelling on things by overthinking and having a tunnel vision.
My weaknesses is overthinking and having tunnel vision

Q: Is there anything you would like to change at your school?

A: Change is about taking progressive steps forward, together. At the end of last year my school took a big step by listening to current students’ and alumni’s complaints and, most importantly, took action in response. Our voices lead to change in the making—through the external help of caring alumni and ‘Cultural Intelligence Africa’ assessments and recommendations were made. My goal is to see that these changes are effectively implemented in our Trinityhouse culture and are not just writing on paper. The difference is in unity, and the change I want to make is to continue the work that was started.

Q: What do you love the most about your school?

A: I love that I am part of a community that is ready to unlearn and relearn.

Q: Matric is your final year, from an academic point of view, what are you aiming for?

Matric is at once a final year but also a beginning, it is a milestone that will open doors to my university education. I am aiming to build consistency throughout all I do and I believe I can do so by remaining focused and disciplined. I want to end the year with a minimum of four distinctions and to maintain a constant average.

Q: What will your message of encouragement be for your prefects/co-leaders?

A: It is guaranteed that we are better together. I urge us all to remember this when we feel overwhelmed by a task, responsibilities or hurdles we may face along the year because you and I have people around us ready to help.

Q: What are your plans after matric in 2022?

A: I plan to study medicine at The University of Witwatersrand or at St. George’s University in the West Indies.

Q: If you could be any superhero, who do you want to be and why?

A: I’d want to be Jean Grey from X-Men because she can feel the emotions of people around her but despite the fact that this might make her empathetic toward them when push comes to shove she does what she thinks is right for mankind.

Q: On a regular Saturday, you will find me at…….with…….…?

A: At cousins’ house with my family.
