Suspect arrested for being in possession of stolen vehicle

HONEYDEW – Honeydew police arrested a suspect for being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle and car break-in implements.

Honeydew police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said on 15 November, members of the police station’s Robbery Reaction Unit visited the suspect’s place of residence after information was provided to them.

The suspect was arrested after he was discovered to be in possession of a stolen white Toyota Fortuner.
“Upon thoroughly searching the entirety of the suspect’s vehicle, tools suspected to be used in car break-ins were discovered and confiscated to be used as evidence,” said Muthan.

The suspect will appear soon in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
