Prepare for water interruptions in Randpark Ridge on 10 and 11 November

RANDPARK RIDGE – Joburg Water is warning the community of Randpark Ridge about planned water interruptions on 10 to 11 November.

Joburg Water spokesperson Isaac Dhludhlu said the reason for the interruption is due to planned, and much-needed repairs to 300mm water piping running near roads in the area.

Water tanks will be placed to provide some relief to residents on the following affected roads:

Randpark Drive at the corner of Molope Road
Randpark Drive at the corner of Mimosa Road
Seder Street at the corner of Frangipani Road
Seder Street at the corner of Randpark Drive
Haakdoring Road at the corner of Suikerbos Avenue
Kelly Road at the corner of Tin Road

Dhludhlu said that Joburg Water appeals to all to use water sparingly due to Level 1 water restrictions put in place in January.

“We want to remind the community that Level 1 water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6am and 6pm in summer months (1 September to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveways using hosepipes.”
