Zandspruit, Paulshof and Morningside experiencing extended power outage

JOBURG – The Eskom recovery teams are working around the clock towards repairing the faults and damages to restore supply to the affected areas.

Eskom customers in Zandspruit, Paulshof and Morningside are currently experiencing an extended power supply interruption.

Ronel Kotze from the communication’s spokesperson of Eskom said that this is due to multiple network faults, coupled with storms that have been experienced in some parts of Morningside, Paulshof, Petervale, and Zandspruit, amongst others.

“Due to the high call volumes, it may take a prolonged period of time to completely clear the backlog and restore supply to all affected customers. The Eskom recovery teams are working around the clock towards repairing the faults and damages to restore supply to the affected areas,” said Kotze in a released statement.

Eskom apologises for the inconvenience caused to their customers. “Customers in the respective areas will be updated of the developments via Eskom social media platforms and other channels,” added Kotze.

For safety reasons, customers are urged to treat all electricity points as live at all times.

Faults may be reported through the Eskom App, email: customerservices@eskom.co.za or via SMS on 35328 and Contact Centre 08600 37566.
