Suspect arrested after attempting to seek employment at scene of previous crimes

“The suspect broke into the same house twice, then proceeded to the house for a third time but this time to ask for a job,” said Sean Manpel of Special Opps.

A Special Opps 99 Security team apprehended a suspect after he had twice broken into a house in Blairgowrie.

The resident identified him from CCTV footage taken from cameras installed at his home. The suspect was arrested by the local police and remains in police custody.

“The suspect broke into the same house twice, then proceeded to the house for a third time but this time to ask for a job,” said Sean Manpel of Special Opps.

The owner of the house recognised him from the CCTV footage when the suspect visited to ask for a job and tried to apprehend him, however, he managed to escape.

Members of Special Ops 99 in a vehicle stationed in the area saw the commotion and gave chase. “The suspect jumped over a bus stop [shelter] into a neighbouring area we protect. He was swiftly apprehended and successfully handed over to the Linden SAPS,” concluded Manpel.

The suspect was apparently wanted for 40 crimes while on parole.
