RANDBURG – Emer-G-Med responded to two separate collisions on 26 August, three patients all sustained moderate injuries.

Emer-G-Med responded to two separate accidents in Randburg on 26 August.

The first incident was a collision that happened on Malibongwe Drive in Strijdom Park close to the N1 at around 1.30pm.

Caitlin Kruger, a team member from Emer-G-Med, confirmed that the collision involved two vehicles, “Traffic started slowing down at a red robot and a vehicle at the back didn’t realise that the traffic was stopping and crashed into the vehicle in front [of it]. We took two patients [to a nearby facility for further care], both sustained moderate injuries,” explained Kruger.

The second collision happened at around 4.40pm at Penelope Avenue in Blairgowrie. The collision involved two vehicles, one of which was stationary.

“The vehicle that was stationary had no people inside. The other vehicle lost control and crashed into the stationary car and then hit a wall,” explained Kruger. “We transported the patient to a hospital under the care of our advanced life support paramedic.”

All authorities were on the scene on both accidents.
