A big thank you for Randburg Civic Centre staff

RANDBURG – Ward 102 councillor David Potter thanks the staff members of the Randburg Civic Centre for their continued efforts during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Ward 102 councillor David Potter would like to extend a word of thanks to all the staff members of the Randburg Civic Centre for their continued efforts.

“I would like to thank all staff members for their hard work and dedication to servicing their customers during these trying times. Your dedication to the task at hand in the times that we find ourselves is much appreciated.” The centre has been open since mid-June and has been providing services in car and driver’s licencing, as well as municipal billing concerns. “I know that the building condition of the Randburg Civic Centre is far from ideal. My office continues to engage with the City’s leadership and the Johannesburg Property Company regarding issues surrounding the well-being of the building, and I would like to thank the JPC who has been helping to manage any ongoing issues that arise,” continued Potter.

The Randburg Sun visited the centre with Potter on 11 March to inspect the centre, which at that time raised concerns for the councillor. The gardens were unkempt, there were issues with parking, and the presence of a rat infestation was noticeable. “With the help of Quentin from the JPC, the gardens are looking much better and issues with the rat infestation and parking have improved dramatically,” concluded Potter.
