Positive Covid-19 cases reach 52 991, recoveries reach 29 006

The number of positive Covid-19 cases continues to rise, as do the number of deaths. On the filp side, the number of recoveries is also rising at a steady rate. As at 9 June 2020, the total number of cases in South Africa was 52 991, with almost 1-million tests having been conducted (968 070). A total of 29 006 people have recovered from the virus. The numbers continue to rise in each province, as is to be expected with the easing of lockdown regulations.
