Rand Park celebrates water polo and cricket achievements

RANDPARK – Rand Park High School recently awarded the efforts of their water polo and cricket teams.


Rand Park High School recently celebrated the efforts and achievements of its water polo and cricket players and coaches at two fancy awards dinners held at the school.

The school commended everyone involved in the sports as the two sports seasons draw to a close.

Rand Park High School’s Heather Robinson said, “The awards’ dinners have become a part and parcel of our school’s traditions where players, coaches and team managers are acknowledged for their contribution and dedication to the sport and the top achievers are recognised for excellence.”

Guests were treated to personal stories of player and team achievements, overcoming obstacles, developing confidence in the game and improving skills were shared with parents and players who attended.

The top awards were presented as follows:

Cricket:

  •  Senior Player of the Season – Bryan Robinson
  •  Junior Player of the Season – Jordan Visagie
  •  Team of the Season – 2nd Team for the highest win ratio.

Water Polo Girls:

  •  Senior Player of the Season – Angela Graham
  • Junior Player of the Season – Jade-Lee Oosthuizen
  •  Team of the Season – 1st Team Girls.

Water Polo Boys:

  • Senior Player of the Season – Matthew Smith
  • Junior Player of the Season – Marc Smith
  • Team of the Season – U15.
