Covid-19: Over 300 Pick n Pay stores now have transparent screens

JOBURG – In order to ensure social distancing at all times as per the lockdown rules, customers are being asked to queue and shop with a trolley.

To prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, Perspex screens are being installed at Pick n Pay till points countrywide.

Pick n Pay spokesperson Janine Caradonna said that the transparent screens have already been installed in over 300 stores and are being rolled out to all stores. The screens are mounted at the till, between cashiers and customers.

Caradonna said that other measures already in place are social distancing floor markers in aisles, service areas and queues, and there are clear signs throughout stores as reminders.

In order to ensure social distancing at all times as per the lockdown rules, customers are being asked to queue and shop with a trolley.
