Covid-19: Randburg Roots Butchery still open after three others shut down for overcrowding

RANDBURG – Three of its stores in Mpumalanga were shut down due to overcrowding.

Roots Butchery in Randburg and Cosmo City is open, despite three of its stores being shut down elsewhere in the country due to overcrowding.

Manager of a Roots Butchery in Mpumalanga, Roger Costa, shared a message with the Randburg Sun’s sister publication Highvelder on 28 March that said, “The police have only closed three of our stores as of 2pm 27 March 2020 due to over-crowding… We apologise for any confusion caused and respect the lockdown protocols. Please be safe and practice social distancing.”

The popular Roots Butchery in Randburg confirmed that they are still open and operational, and are adhering to all procedures put into place to curb the spread of coronavirus.

This includes social distancing measures, a quota of people allowed inside the store, and safe hygiene practices inside the store.
