Robindale SPAR has opened its doors after three months’ worth of upgrades. The local store has been standing for over three decades and has received a facelift to give local shoppers added value for their money.
Owner of Robindale SPAR Magnus Loubser purchased the store in December 2016, which was when the store’s gradual facelift began. Since then the store has undergone a more radical update and introduced a variety of food products to its shelves. “Everything that we have in this store is handmade. All the salads that we do, all the food that we make – everything gets made from scratch.”
Loubser said he was grateful to the infrastructure of the Olivedale SuperSPAR, which he also owns, as it has made the transition from old to new easier at Robindale SPAR. “We’ve decided to evolve with the new retail trends and also present the customers in the area with a better retail experience. We felt that the setup that we did and the look and feel of the store was justified to what we are trying to achieve.”
The store has introduced a biltong counter, a gourmet counter, a cold meat counter, a sushi counter with a resident sushi chef, a variety of baked goods as well as a new variety of pre-prepared salads.
Loubser added that he has extensive involvement in the store and all it takes to ensure that the standard is exceptional for consumers. The store has also done their best to support locals and avoid unhealthy additives such as preservatives when preparing their food. The store has also introduced new staff members to the Robindale team via referrals of existing staff members.
Robindale SPAR has opened its doors to the community with the above-mentioned upgrades after a presence which has spanned an impressive 32 years. Have you visited the local store and experienced the new upgrades first hand? You won’t be disappointed!
