Rand Park debutantes shadow serve to raise money

CRESTA – Rand Park High School debutantes spent an evening shadow serving to raise money.

John Dory’s in Cresta Shopping Centre hosted a group of 10 debutantes from Rand Park High School for a job-shadow serving evening last week.

The girls spent the evening as waitron partners to the staff who currently work at the restaurant and served tables of patrons. In return for their work, the school received a generous donation from the restaurant to assist them with their fundraising efforts.

John Dory’s has worked closely with Rand Park High School for two years and has been generous with their support for its fundraising campaigns. The school felt that the benefit of being involved with this form of fundraising was not confined to income; it is very much about the development of important soft skills amongst the learners. These skills included communication, customer service, teamwork and the motivation to work hard.

The school is very grateful to the John Dory’s management team and staff for their support.
