City Power says it is aware of the power outage affecting many parts of Randburg. This is due to a trip to one of their major intake substations.
In a statement, the entity said that they are working with Eskom to attend to the outage and restore power. “It is unclear what caused the trip but it is suspected that it could have been caused by fire on one of the feeder cables.”
The outage is affecting Olivedale, Kensington B, parts of Bryanston, Ferndale, Bordeux, Boskruin, Randpark Ridge, Strydom Park, Bromhof, Northwold, Jukskei Park, North Riding, Sharonlea and surrounding areas.
